Our services are culturally sensitive


RiverStone Counseling & Consulting Inc., is based in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. We are pleased to offer services throughout the province and country via virtual and telehealth services. We also offer travelling clinics by request.

While we specialize in working with Indigenous populations, we recognize and respect the diversity of Canadian society. Taking into account the breadth of differences that exist among individuals, families, groups and communities, we gladly offer services to people from all cultures and ethnicities.

Counseling

We offer specialized mental health and crisis intervention services to individuals, families, and groups. Some of the issues we specialize in are: EMDR Basic Trauma Therapy, ART therapy, suicidal ideation, self-harm, addictions, complex trauma and abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, personality disorders, mood disorders, stress, grief & loss, anger management, parenting and family issues, and many more.

Consulting

RiverStone provides consultative social work services in cooperation with health care providers, First Nations and Inuit Corporations, as well as Band, Provincial and Federal Government Departments. We also provide mentoring, consultation and supervision to clinical social workers.

Assessment

We complete specialized mental health, addictions, and biopsychosocial assessments. Some of the assessment services we provide are: addiction assessments, anxiety and depression assessments, court-related clinical assessments, assessments for Jordan’s Principle, as well as assessments and referrals to inpatient and other specialized services.

We are pleased to announce that most of our crisis counselling services are available without charge if you have coverage under non-insured health benefits or your insurance provider. In some cases, medical transportation can also be arranged for eligible individuals. Please contact us to discuss whether this coverage is available to you.
